The Kyiv (Kiev) metro opens from 6:00 am and operates until 24:00.
It costs 8 UAH for each journey (about 23p in British or 30 cents US) and you can travel the whole network for one price.
Tokens and travel cards can be purchased or recharged inside the metro station.
It's easy to travel the network as most of the stations have signs in English.
There are no lifts in the Kiev metro, but plenty of very deep & long escalators.
Trains run every 3 minutes in Peak times, (from 7:00 to 10:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00) and every 5-10 min outside of these hours and at the weekends and holidays.
Avoid travelling at peak times if you can, it can get very busy.
