National Art Museum of Ukraine

The National Art Museum of Ukraine is the oldest museum in Kiev (Kyiv), opened in 1899. It has a great collection of Ukrainian art from 12th century to present day.

A nice mix of modern and contemporary art. Really beautiful and impressive Ukrainian art and statues. Photography without flash is allowed. You are able to get quite close to the exhibits which will offer you great photo opportunities. 

 

Easy to get to in the centre of Kiev (Kyiv), a small gem of an art museum that should not be missed. Oh yes! And  check out the bookstore, great art books at a fraction of western European prices.  Entrance is scandalously cheap, if you are an art lover then don't miss this.
